Nicolette Ketchum

Nicolette Ketchum is a physician assistant and an elementary and junior high teacher by trade. She is currently taking a break from employment to focus her attention on purposeful engagement with other community members in exploring ways to ensure equity for everyone regardless of their abilities, age, race, gender or other situation that excludes(either intentionally or not) someone or their situation from being considered in community activities. Current endeavors include volunteering with other community members to coordinate a memory café in Farmington, NM where creating group poetry is a regular activity. She also volunteers with the Northwest New Mexico Food Equity Task Force to examine the continuum/circle of our local food system (from producer to consumer)and how community members who are currently marginalized can be empowered to participate and lead in the local food system. Nicolette looks forward to co-creating poetry with all of the participants of Dementia Possibilities.
